Grove Analysis Maps
BFSC has conducted extensive mapping of the eucalyptus groves, including an accurate count of the eucalyptus trees on public and private properties. We work closely with public and private entities to address the wildfire threat these eucalyptus groves pose. You can download a PDF version here.
LiDAR Maps
The wildland next to Berkeley has a large number of eucalyptus groves in the parks, on UC Berkeley property, and the Berkeley Lab campus as shown on our LiDAR map. The highest eucalyptus concentration are the East Bay Hills, by far. Click here to download a PDF version
Satellite Maps
Satellite maps of the Berkeley Hills also make clear the eucalyptus groves (in dark brown) and the multiple pathways a wildfire have for creating a major conflaguraiton in Berkeley.

Computer Modeling for Path of Wildfires
The Berkeley Fire Department (BFD) has been working with wildfire experts to produce scientific modeling to identify the highest potential paths in which a wildfire would be catastrophic for Berkeley. These two diagrams indicate broader paths for all of Berkeley, as well as a specific area we call the "Line of Fire."
